Much like the smooth flowing warmth of pancake syrup being poured gently and perfectly over soft delicious pancakes, the voice of Nat “King” Cole flows to my ears. “Love is the Thing” is a romantic album including a total of ten ballads, five songs on each side of the vinyl record. “Stardust”, “When I Fall in Love”, and “Love is the Thing” are my personal favorites on this album. Each of these songs pulls at my heartstrings and takes me to a deep and sentimental place of my heart and mind. The classic sound of vinyl is a most fitting blend for the tone of the album. I highly recommend giving this album a listen, especially as a vinyl record.
