“Dy-no-mite” Dog Treats | EarthScaper | Review

We have an eight year old Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix, who really looks forward to her daily treat of Pedigree Dentastix.  They keep her teeth and gums healthy and clean.  On routine visits to the vet’s office, the veterinarian has shared that our dog’s teeth are exceptionally clean.  Some of this may be due to her medium breed mix, but the Dentastix have probably helped, as she has been eating them since being under a year old.  According to a Google search, they are also low in fat and sugar free.  We make treat time fun by hiding the Dentastix sometimes and she has to smell around to find it.  If we say, “Want a Dentastix?”, our dog jumps up in excitement and runs into the kitchen or runs to the back door if we’re outside.

Another favorite treat of hers is Blue Dog Bakery Softies: Peanut Butter.  They are advertised as “all natural, no animal by-products, artificial flavors, colors,or preservatives”.  Sometimes we crumble a softie over our dog’s food for a dash of extra scrumptious flavor to her meal.  She enjoys this treat once or twice a day and has been eating them roughly since the age of three.

Our one year old Bishon/Yorkshire Terrier mix has a different treat that he enjoys: Blue Buffalo Blue Bits Tasty Chicken Recipe Soft-Moist Training Dog Treats.  According to a general Google search, these treats include chicken and DHA.  We used these as a reward during potty training and believe they helped motivate him with the process.  Come to think of it, we need to pick up some more of these!

If our dogs were able to talk, they would probably shout to proclaim that Pedigree Dentastix, Blue Dog Bakery Softies, and Blue Buffalo Blue Bits are “Dy-no-mite!” in their best impersonation of Jimmie Walker’s catchphrase as J. J. in the Good Times television show.
